Ferrari: Massa on track in Riyadh

Discovering a new circuit is always a thrill for a driver. If the novelty is then accompanied by the "first time" in a new country, different in culture and nature from the country of origin and the country of residence, we can certainly say that it is an interesting experience. Felipe Massa experienced it today, engaged on the Reem International Circuit, near Riyadh, in Saudi Arabia.

Felipe was the main protagonist of an event organized by Philip Morris International during which the Brazilian driver made around forty guests experience the thrill of speed at the wheel of an F430 Challenge - always in safety. Together with the Brazilian driver there was also the Team Principal of Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro Stefano Domenicali. “It's always nice to go to a new place and I'm sorry I couldn't stay longer” – said Felipe – “The track is very interesting and fun: I hope to have the opportunity to drive here again. The commitments ahead of the start of the World Cup are pressing so we had to return home straight away.”

“There is a need for structures and events like these to grow motorsport in countries where the tradition is still very recent” – added Stefano Domenicali – “For Ferrari the Middle East is a very important market which we are looking at very closely. Attention."

Fernando Alonso was supposed to participate in the event but, due to a minor ailment, he preferred to give up the trip given his upcoming commitments in the Barcelona tests.
