Stefano Domenicali has hinted that the announcement of the renewal of Felipe Massa's contract could arrive shortly. The Brazilian's seat was in doubt for much of the season due to his less-than-exciting performances but Massa redeemed himself at the end of the season and after his second place in Suzuka today in Korea he achieved a fourth place behind his teammate of team Fernando Alonso.
Ferrari's decision to confirm Massa, which should be announced before the Indian GP, could lead Nico Hulkenberg to join Sauber for 2013. The German, in fact, seemed the most serious candidate to possibly replace Massa at Ferrari but now Hulkenberg would have signed already a provisional agreement with the Swiss team.
