Ferrari, Marchionne: “I'm not satisfied but I hope for an improvement”

Ferrari's disappointing results in the latest races have not only gone unnoticed by fans and the media, but also by the President of the Maranello company, Sergio Marchionne, who is visibly less than satisfied.

“I would be lying if I said I was satisfied, but I hope there is a improvement in the second part of the season” commented Sergio Marchionne, hoping for a step forward from the next Belgian Grand Prix, scheduled for the end of August after the summer break.

In recent weeks in Maranello there has been a rearrangement of the staff after the early farewell of James Allison: the team had to reorganise, choosing an internal solution and entrusting the technical management to Mattia Binotto, also taking into account those that will the development needs of the 2016 and 2017 single-seaters: “The realignment process was substantial and the team has made a certain number of changes” – said the Ferrari president -. “We decided to develop the 2016 and 2017 machines with our internal skills, because We have phenomenal talents here. It is important for us to exploit that know-how and that is what we are doing. To say we need a transfusion of technical intelligence is going too far."

A choice that echoes what Arrivabene said a few days ago, to focus on what were the "second lines", which previously did not have enough space to fully express their potential.
