Ferrari: Kubica would have signed an option
According to information from the newspaper Tuttosport, Robert Kubica seems closer than ever to Ferrari. The Turin publication states that the driver has signed some sort of agreement with the Maranello team. According to the article, Ferrari has the right to exercise the "option" it has on the twenty-five-year-old Pole by July 25 - that is, between the English and German grand prix.
Kubica told journalists in Barcelona that he feared that Renault's rivals could close or even overtake it over the weekend.
The driver admitted that he was expecting a "more complete update" for the Spanish Grand Prix.
“Many teams usually bring big upgrades to Barcelona and I hope they don't gain those three, four or five tenths here.
“If they do that we will be in trouble, but we have to see,” Kubica added.
