Ferrari also interested in Vettel
At the beginning of the week, the Spanish newspaper Diario As confirmed Fernando Alonso as Ferrari's new driver with the announcement set for September 11th. In these days, however, there is also speculation about a possible change in strategy for the Italian team which would also have Sebastian Vettel among its objectives.
According to the German newspaper Bild, the negotiation between Ferrari and the German would be viewed favorably by Bernie Ecclestone, who is eager to see him behind the wheel of the Ferrari even before 2011. "Bernie is a sort of secret manager for Sebastian. He has great respect for him and he takes care of it" said Red Bull boss Christian Horner.
"But why should Sebastian leave us? At the moment we are ahead, Ferrari is not" concluded Horner.
