Ferrari and Mercedes modified for Hockenheim

News in sight for the Ferrari and Mercedes teams at the German Grand Prix, the German team for the home race will modify the F-shaped duct and will introduce a modification to the extractor bottom to better match it to the low exhaust system that blows into the diffuser.

Norbert Haug is aiming to make a good impression at home: "We worked hard solving many of the problems we had in the last two races." Ross Brawn is more cautious: “Unfortunately not all simulations can be carried out in the wind tunnel, for example we don't know what impact the hot exhaust gases at high speed will have on the solution. But if everything works as expected then we can be confident."

Ferrari will also work on the diffuser to best adapt it to the low exhaust solution, waiting for the end of August, when a very different version of the F10 should debut.

Caution at Renault where Kubica expects a difficult weekend: "Most of the teams have introduced both the F system and the blown diffuser, it will be very difficult in Germany to stay in front of all these single-seaters."
