Ferrari: Dyer demoted to factory position

Chris Dyer's new role at Ferrari is factory-based and "production-related", according to a well-placed source.

After the strategic error that cost Fernando Alonso the 2010 world championship, the Australian Dyer was removed from the role of head of track engineers, and Ferrari thus decided on a "redefined" role.
An article by Heikki Kulta, expert correspondent of Turun Sanomat, states that this role is inherent to the production and that the 42-year-old technician, former race engineer for Michael Schumacher and Kimi Raikkonen, will remain in Maranello.
The article also states that Schumacher would be happy to have him back in the Mercedes team.
The Ferrari organization chart now sees Pat Fry and Neil Martin, respectively former McLaren and former Red Bull, at the top of the technical hierarchies.
