Third victory and second consecutive double of the season for Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro, with Kimi Raikkonen first and Felipe Massa second. This is victory number 204 in 762 Grands Prix contested by Ferrari, the seventeenth in 126 races contested by Kimi.

Stefano Domenicali: “We are obviously very happy with this result, the best we could have achieved. It is the fruit of the work done in preparing for the race and throughout the weekend and I want to thank the whole team, from those who are on the track here with us to those who remained in Maranello, for what they did. We must continue like this, paying great attention to every little detail. We have very strong opponents and it takes nothing to see a good result vanish. We are leading in both rankings and we must continue on this path.”

Kimi Raikkonen: “It's hard to do better than this! Yesterday the pole, today the victory, completed by Felipe's second place. We are leading in both championships and that makes me happy. The whole weekend went well and we managed to get what we wanted. It wasn't an easy victory but what counts are the ten points, not the margin of advantage with which you cross the finish line. The start wasn't perfect but enough to maintain first place then we tried to control the situation. The two periods of neutralization complicated things a bit, canceling out the advantage we had accumulated in the first part but we never lost the thread of the race. The car handled very well and had excellent balance. We are leading the world championship but we know that we cannot relax: nothing is enough to be pushed back. Heikki's accident? I was very happy when the team told me he was fine: that's the most important thing."

Felipe Massa: “These are eight very important points. It's not always possible to win, as happened fifteen days ago in Bahrain. I made a good start and managed to pass Alonso, getting very close to Kimi. I knew that I would stop one lap before my teammate and that, therefore, it would be very difficult to pass in front of him: for this reason I think I got the most out of this situation, bringing home precious points for myself and for the team. This year too, despite the elimination of electronic driving aids, overtaking is almost impossible and the result of the qualifications, together with the strategy, remain crucial to determining the order of arrival."

Luca Baldisserri: “This double, the second of the season, is a great satisfaction. Usually, the Spanish Grand Prix is the litmus test of the balance of power on the field after the first cycle of non-European races: from what we have seen, we seem to maintain a slight margin of advantage, which allows us to look with reasonable confidence for the rest of the season, provided that no mistakes are made and that we continue to develop the car. Having said that, the race was very close. We had a good performance from all the elements involved - team, drivers, car - and when this happens the results arrive. We have to continue like this."
