Ferrari Driver Academy internship

A special three-day event was inaugurated today which sees the five young talents of the Ferrari Driver Academy engaged in an internship at the Maranello facilities which combines training on the Fiorano circuit with a long series of physical and psycho-aptitude tests.

At eight this morning, with the support of Medex, the academy's partner, a device was installed on the five pilots which will allow them to monitor their blood sugar levels for the duration of the entire stage. The program then saw Raffaele Marciello and Brandon Maisano alternating on the track at the wheel of the Formula Abarth, while Jules Bianchi and Mirko Bortolotti were busy on the simulator in preparation for the next challenge scheduled in Monza next weekend. After a short lunch break, Jules and Mirko then answered the fans' questions in a live chat on the Ferrari.com website, while Daniel Zampieri was the protagonist of a training session aimed at evaluating physical resistance. The Team Principal of Scuderia Ferrari, Stefano Domenicali, reached the track to watch the training and discuss with the project manager Luca Baldisserri about the ongoing training program.

A day of study and evaluation awaits the young promises of the Ferrari Driver Academy tomorrow, while on Wednesday a new training session on the track in which Giancarlo Fisichella and Andrea Bertolini will follow them closely, respectively third driver and test driver for the Scuderia di Maranello.
