Ferrari confirms its commitment to a new era of Formula 1

The news of BMW's abandonment of F1 was greeted with disappointment in Maranello. "In the sixty years of Ferrari's uninterrupted participation in the Formula 1 World Championship we have seen the entry and exit of many teams and several important car manufacturers" – declared a spokesperson for the Scuderia – "It is therefore a characteristic of this discipline, although we regret BMW's decision. Ferrari will continue to be fully committed to a new era of Formula 1, made up of stable regulations and extreme technological research accompanied by great attention to the environment and increasingly based on strong improvement in the entertainment and the involvement of fans and all the components of our sport."
