Ferrari, Alonso dreams of a dream team with Vettel and Newey

Fernando Alonso has hinted that he would like to work with Sebastian Vettel and Adrian Newey at Ferrari.

“At the moment, we need to recognize the fantastic work they are doing,” the Spaniard told Sport Bild newspaper.

“Adrian Newey is undoubtedly the decisive man for success,” said Alonso who downplayed the possibility that he could one day move to Red Bull.

“My dream is to win with Ferrari. I'm sure it's the same for many engineers, so Newey might feel the need to get to Ferrari,” added the Spaniard.

Alonso, whose current teammate is Felipe Massa, also said Vettel would be welcome.

“Many drivers would like to drive Ferrari, and Sebastian would undoubtedly be welcome. If you have never driven a Ferrari you probably feel that your career is not complete. I'm happy to have Massa as a teammate, but one day he... who knows."

Alonso defined the victory of Vettel's second title as certain "unless a series of unfortunate circumstances. If I had to bet I would bet on him” he added. “He is a great champion headed towards his second title, he has great talent and is able to withstand the pressure” concluded Alonso.
