Fernandes will change the name of the GP2 team

A sign of Tony Fernandes' intentions regarding his F1 Team Lotus can be seen in what he plans to do with the GP2 team.

The Malaysian billionaire took advantage of the announcement of the agreement with the sports car manufacturer to tell journalists that the GP2 team, currently called AirAsia, will soon be renamed Caterham.
But when asked if the same fate will immediately befall Team Lotus, Fernandes replied: "Absolutely not."
The answer seems quite obvious, since the dispute with Group Lotus over the use of the Lotus name, which it purchased from David Hunt, is still ongoing.
Fernandes told the Times: “I always wanted to be a car manufacturer, and Lotus was the obvious choice. But it did not work. I have always believed that the most effective thing, from the moment you own an F1 team, is the brand you manage to create... and the most logical product to link to Formula 1 is a car."
