The Ferrari driver sets himself some goals for next season

Felipe Massa: “I have to be more continuous to keep my seat”

Felipe Massa he believes that greater consistency is the key to securing his seat at Ferrari again next year.

The Brazilian has had a good start to the season, but has suffered some accidents recently which have led insiders to cast doubts on whether he will remain at Ferrari next year.

Massa, however, does not appear worried by the situation, and knows he has everything he needs Ferrari wants.

“I know what I have to do, I just have to get results”, declared the driver after the Silverstone tests.

“The pace I have is good, so I don't have to worry about that. I showed that I had excellent pace, but some things that happened to me prevented me from finishing the race – he continued – a “I just have to concentrate on maintaining the pace and I know that if nothing happens I will finish the races in a good position”.

Massa also claims that beyond him, the team must also do its part to improve results, in fact the Maranello team still has its Achilles' heel in qualifying.

“I think it's very important to try to make the car faster, especially in qualifying”, Massa explained.

“We know that in general the car is stronger in the race than in qualifying, but starting in a good position helps us to improve in the race too. We are working, and trying to understand the car as best as possible. Obviously I'm also thinking about my continuity", has explained.

“I wasn't very lucky in the Silverstone GP with the tires and also in Bahrain. So I need to finish races in a more constant and consistent way. If nothing happens I'll be there to play it with everyone"he concluded.
