FDA promotes the growth of its young people: Ilott signs with ART and will race the next GP3 world championship

Callum Ilott is ready to move up the category. After a 2017 season which saw him star in the European Formula 3 series, the nineteen-year-old British driver will start next season with the ART team in the GP3 Series. “Together with the FDA officials we evaluated all the opportunities for the continuation of my career – commented Ilott – and I am very happy that the final decision was to focus on the GP3 Series with the ART team, a very professional team with proven experience in this category. I can't wait to familiarize myself with a new car, new tracks and new challenges."

Ilott entered Ferrari's Driver Academy program last October, and concluded his experience in Formula 3 at the Macau Grand Prix, where he was among the protagonists, winning the qualification race. Callum concluded his 2017 European Championship season with a score of six wins and ten pole positions. Last week he took his first steps behind the wheel of the GP3 Series, completing three days of testing at the Yas Marina circuit.
