Arthur Leclerc achieved a victory in the Monaco Sprint Race, thus bringing his tally of successes to three in the six races held so far. The Monegasque driver was one of the five FDA talents involved in the third round of the FIA ​​Formula 2 Virtual Races, each consisting of a Feature Race and a Sprint Race.

Qualifications. In the flying lap that determined the starting grid of the Feature Race, Leclerc achieved the third fastest time, while his Prema Racing teammate, Robert Shwartzman, was seventh. Marcus Armstrong in the ART Grand Prix car was ninth, with Callum Ilott (UNI-Virtuosi Racing) eleventh and Enzo Fittipaldi (BWT HWA Racelab) sixteenth.

Competition. At the start there was a great brawl with Arthur Leclerc who was immediately the protagonist, fighting with Theo Pourchaire and Jack Aitken from the first lap. In the end, the winner of the Feature Race was the Swiss Louis Deletraz who preceded Aitken, Pourchaire, Enzo Fittipladi, author of an extraordinary comeback race, Lirim Zendeli and Arthur Leclerc, penalized by a spin at the port chicane during the of the last lap. Armstrong, making his debut in virtual races, was ninth, Callum Ilott thirteenth and Robert Shwartzman seventeenth.

Sprint Race. In the Sprint race, which lasted just five laps, Leclerc started perfectly from third position, immediately placing himself behind Juan Manuel Correa. The Monegasque managed to put so much pressure on the American driver of the Charouz Racing team that he made the mistake, which materialized in the form of cutting a chicane with a consequent three-second penalty. Leclerc therefore passed in second place at the finish line but was declared the winner of the race. Ilott achieved an excellent fifth, Enzo Fittipaldi came eighth, while Armstrong placed 14th. Shwartzman retired.
