F1 | Zehnder: “Raikkonen drives without instructions”

Alfa Romeo admitted it was impressed by Kimi Raikkonen. The Finn made his debut in Formula 1 with Sauber and at the time his manager was Beat Zehnder, who now holds the role of team manager for Alfa Romeo.

The Swiss, interviewed by Auto Motor und Sport, declared that he is more surprised now than the Finn, after 21 victories and the world title in 2007:

“Kimi drives without instructions.” And regarding Antonio Giovinazzi's first part of the season, he added:

“We let him down a bit at the beginning, but now he's getting better and better. Kimi does everything himself, he understands everything. The engineers discuss the possibility of changing an engine setting and then at the last moment, Kimi changes it himself. He knows exactly what to do and when”.
