F1 | Zanardi praises the DTM: "Level of competition superior to Formula 1"

In an interview given to the DPA press agency, Alex Zanardi spoke about his recent adventure in the DTM, topped with a superlative fifth place in race 2 at Misano, underlining how the level in the world tourism championship is in no way inferior to that currently present in Formula 1. According to the Italian, in fact, the DTM is currently the most exciting category in motorsport and can boast an extremely high level of competition, a factor that gives fans exciting races full of twists and turns.

Here are the words of Alex Zanardi: “The DTM, at least in my opinion, is the most beautiful and exciting category in the world. I would even define it as superior to Formula 1 given that the level of competition is very high."

“In Formula 1, even if you are slower than your teammate, you can still finish inside the top ten. Just drive a Mercedes or a Ferrari. All this is very different in the DTM”he concluded.
