F1 | Wolff: “Hamilton was robbed in 2021”

The Mercedes team principal spoke in a long interview granted to "La Gazzetta dello Sport" about various topics, first of all the issue involving him and his wife Susie Wolff complete with the FIA ​​investigation for conflict of interest.

“There are millions of people watching us, we must be examples for what we do and say. The investigation opened and closed in two days caused great damage, and this is not what you expect from the world of Formula 1. If we want to make the sport more and more professional we must try to bring transparency where there is none and establish standards of highest possible level. This is my position, I can't speak for Susie, but she is a never-giver, she has a steely determination. This is not the first time she has faced difficulties, and she will go all the way in every court. Wolff then spoke about Red Bull's undisputed dominance and the difficulties encountered by Mercedes in recent seasons. The Austrian is keen to point out that he absolutely does not want to give up before the battle:

You can't start the year thinking you won't win. We're starting from scratch and with McLaren we've seen what a leap forward we can make, everything is possible. The success of a team depends on the motivation and energy of the people. We have an Everest to climb against Red Bull, and Ferrari and McLaren are very strong, but 2026 is already in our sights: sustainable fuel, power unit and completely different aerodynamics. The most stimulating part is being part of a group that is changing to win again. Ultimately, winning is the only return shareholders want from their investment, and I work for it. I wouldn't stay if I wasn't sure I was giving my all."
