F1 | Williams, Albon and Latifi officials for 2022
The Grove team confirms the 2022 line-up
di Peppe Marino8 September 2021
Williams has formalized the driver line-up for the 2022 Formula 1 world championship. Nicholas Latifi and Alexander Albon will in fact sit on Grove's new car next year. Therefore Nyck De Vries was excluded, who also seemed to be in the running for a place in the British team. For the Canadian it will be the third consecutive season in Williams as a starting driver, the fourth considering the year as a reserve, while Albon, after the year off used to race in the DTM, as well as as a test driver for Red Bull, finds a place again as a starter after two seasons between Toro Rosso and Red Bull itself. The Thai therefore effectively takes over from George Russell, who was made official yesterday at Mercedes.
