F1 | Williams: Susie Wolff could be the new team principal
Also competing for the place is the 2009 world champion, Jenson Button
According to some sources (Blick and Speed Week to name a few), Susie Wolff would be one of the main candidates to become the next Williams team boss.
Toto Wolff's wife was a Williams test driver in the past when her husband co-owned the Oxfordshire-based team. The team, currently owned by Dorilton Capital, ousted its team boss Jost Capito and technical director Francois Xavier Demaison at the end of the 2022 season.
“This surprised me,” former driver Ralf Schumacher told Sky Deutschland.
“I can imagine that investors are a little disturbed by the progress. I almost feel a little sorry for Jost, because I think management was too impatient. He needed more time and I assume the divorce was a surprise to him too.”
Alongside Susie Wolff's name, there is another former Williams driver competing for the role of team principal: the 2009 world champion and current "senior consultant" of the team, Jenson Button.
