F1 | Williams, Stroll ready for the US GP: “I can't wait to race in Austin”

We bring you the statements released by Lance Stroll and Sergey Sirotkin in view of the next United States Grand Prix, the eighteenth round of this 2018 Formula 1 world championship. The Canadian, remember, aims to return to the top ten after several extremely disappointing races (the last one in Suzuka.ed.). As for the Russian, however, it will be his first appearance at the Circuit of the Americas, which is why it will be reasonable to expect a cautious and risk-free start.

Here are the words of Lance Stroll: “Texas is a great place. I love everything about this city and the barbecues are spectacular. As far as the track is concerned, however, I can't say anything negative. The race is always a great event and the fans are really excited to experience the weekend.”

On the circuit he added: “Austin is a pretty linear track. The first sector with the climbs and Ss is quite impressive, while the rest of the lap focuses above all on traction coming out of slow corners. Driving here is a lot of fun. Furthermore, the tires will be a key factor given that last year we suffered a lot from consumption."

Here are Sergey Sirotkin's impressions: “I consider Austin one of the most beautiful new concept circuits. We are talking about a modern and exciting racetrack, with its changes of direction and gradient. The second sector offers several overtaking opportunities, including the long straight, where it will be possible to use DRS, followed by an extremely slow and wide corner. He has a confirmation that helps the maneuvers."
