Among the pilots present today in the press conference Lance Stroll was also present at the Canadian Grand Prix. The 18-year-old Williams driver, born in Montreal, expressed all his emotion for the first Formula One race that he will race in front of his compatriots: "It's a special race for me, it's my home race. The team has been strong here in the past, I hope they can do well again this year".
"It's good to be back home – continued Stroll – I don't come back often, but I've had the opportunity to meet friends and family despite my busy schedule".
On the unforgettable local idol Gilles Villeneuve, to whom the Montreal track is dedicated, Stroll said: “My age did not allow me to see him live, but clearly he was an extreme and much loved talent who wrote important pages in the history of Formula One".
