F1 | Williams, Sirotkin: “Difficult day, but we have a lot of room for improvement”

The Canadian weekend didn't start off in the best way Williams. On the Montreal track, Lance stroll e Sergey sirotkin they didn't shine, finishing both Friday sessions in the less noble areas of the ranking. Furthermore, in the morning, the home idol grazed the Wall of Champions, thus puncturing the right rear tyre, while the Russian teammate hit the barriers in turn 6, but avoided major damage. These are the feelings of the two drivers at the end of the first day of free practice.

“It was a typical Friday. We did a lot of laps and gleaned some good information. Tonight we just need to analyze them and get ourselves in the best possible shape for tomorrow. This morning I was a bit unlucky to graze the wall, but it's part of the game: you have to find your limits. It's part of the free practice as you have to find every centimeter. We performed decently in the long runs, but let's see where we will be on Sunday.".

FP1: 17th, 1:15.768 (+2.466) – 30 laps
FP2: 20th, 1:14.782 (+2.584) – 35 laps
“It was a difficult day, but we have a lot of room for improvement. This morning wasn't bad even if we weren't in the best position: we knew the points where we could gain more lap time. FP2 didn't go very well, I struggled to get anything more from the tyre. However, we can take some positives from it. We will have a lot to work on this evening, but we have clear ideas about what to do tomorrow".
