F1 | Williams, Russell looking for redemption: "I thought a lot after the accident at Imola"

Williams came close to scoring in the last Grand Prix at Imola. Russell hit the wall in the final moments under the Safety Car while in tenth position, while Latifi finished the race in eleventh position, just a whisker behind Giovinazzi. The Briton felt very responsible for his accident, it couldn't be otherwise, but he is focused ahead of the Istanbul race. The Canadian also hopes to be able to replicate the good performance of the Enzo and Dino Ferrari Autodromo.

“I'm happy to race in Turkey and for the challenge of driving on a new circuit – Russell admitted. It was nice to have a week off to reflect on what happened and Imola and learn from my mistake. The latest performances of the car have been very encouraging, now we just have to find out what we can achieve in terms of race results. Overall I feel stronger and ready to redeem myself this weekend."

“I am very happy to take to the track in Istanbul – Latifi said. It's probably one of the tracks I couldn't wait to try. I think it's the only circuit on the calendar that I've never been to, so it's nice as a driver to have the chance to discover a new track. When I watched the races on TV it always looked fun, and as always these opportunities create new challenges for us, with the teams without any short-term data. I want to try to take advantage of this, hopefully we can have a good weekend."
