George Russell and Nicholas Latifi are ready to face the next Portuguese Grand Prix, the 12th round of this 2020 Formula 1 world championship. After the unsuccessful passage of the Eifel, with the Englishman withdrawing and the Canadian in 14th position, the Williams will try to get closer to the performances of Alfa Romeo and Haas, direct competitors in the manufacturers' classification.

“I can't wait to race in Portugal, given that it is a new circuit within the world calendar", said George Russell to the official Williams website. “It's a really fantastic track and I personally haven't raced there since 2015. It's very undulating and has character, which is something the drivers love. It will be a challenge for all teams, as no one has recent data. I think the cards will be shuffled over the weekend."

Here are Nicholas Latifi's assessments: “I'm excited to take on this race in Portugal. It's a track where I've already ridden, precisely on a test day, and from what I remember it's very technical, with quite significant changes in altitude. The sensation is that of riding a roller coaster. It will be fun to drive and will prove to be a challenge for everyone. He will have to work well on his et-up and feeling. I can't wait to get on track and have a good weekend. I'm ready to race."
