F1 | Williams, Russell: “We've done a great job in the last five races”

Among the protagonists of the 2021 Formula 1 season are undoubtedly George Russell and Williams. The English talent, who will share the Mercedes garage with Lewis Hamilton next year, and the Grove team have achieved remarkable performances that were difficult to imagine at the beginning of the year. Discussing the progress of the latest races, Russell underlined the excellent work of the team who managed to improve the car as can be seen from the results achieved on the track.

"Obviously before the season you always hope to improve on the previous year – said Russell, quoted by Formula1.com, in the press conference on Thursday in Istanbul – After the tests and the race in Bahrain, I never thought those results would be possible. I think I have to thank the team a lot. They made a lot of good decisions at the right times. We've done a great job in the last five races, we've been in the right place at the right time to capitalize on these moments and I think we've also improved the car along the way. It was a shame not to have scored more points in Sochi given the circumstances at the end of the race. We had a really difficult final stint".
