F1 | Williams, Russell: “We did a good job”

Nineteenth and twentieth times for the Williams at the end of qualifying for the British Grand Prix. George Russell prevailed between the two Fw42s (1'27"789), who preceded Robert Kubica (1'28"257) by about half a second.

"Today we did a good job with the set-up and got the most out of the car. It was a good lap, it felt good to ride and I had a smile on my face at the end. The support from the home fans has been incredible and to see them appreciate the work I'm doing is really special,” Russell said.

"Weather conditions are an important factor. I felt more comfortable on my first attempt, with the wind picking up throughout the session. The difference in condition was clear as we gained speed in some areas but lost in others. Overall it wasn't a bad qualifying session, however the result is unfortunately the same”, said Kubica.
