F1 | Williams, Lowe: “Kubica? We've seen what he can give."
"We have had the opportunity to get to know him better in recent months. We have no doubts about his condition", underlined the technical director of the Grove team
Among the names present on the starting grid of the 2019 Formula One World Championship there will also be that of Robert Kubica. In fact, after the terrible accident in February 2011 at the Andora Rally which affected his career, the Pole returns to the Circus on a permanent basis alongside George Russell in Williams.
Paddy lowe wanted to clarify the Grove team's choice to entrust the steering wheel of the next single-seater to Kubica: "Last year we opted for a careful evaluation, then choosing Sergey (Sirotkin, ed.). Robert didn't get to show his best side, but twelve months later we got to know him better and saw what he can give".
On the Pole's condition, particularly on his right arm, Lowe added: "Maybe people outside the team still have doubts, but no one on the team thinks about this", he said.
