F1 | Williams, Russell's regret: "I made many mistakes"

There is a bitter taste in the words of George Russell, who finished in last position in Sochi. The Brit talked about scoring points, but he made some mistakes that didn't allow him to have a good enough race. Starting from thirteenth position, more was expected from the Williams driver. Latifi was a little better, but in the end the Canadian only finished in sixteenth position.

“The race was difficult to manage – Latifi said. We thought we were more competitive, but we struggled a lot in the opening stint, there wasn't the right pace. I believe that strategically the work done was good, managing to take advantage by not immediately entering the pits. We need to analyze where we could have done better, but overall I think I had a good race. There were some mistakes here and there, but I can learn from what I saw today."

“It was a really hard day, I made a lot of mistakes – Russell admitted. I couldn't get the tires to work and I needed to improve at the start to gain confidence, and that's what I did. The start was good, but I was forced to set up Turn 2 tight. We have a lot to review, there are also some positive things to take away from this weekend, but in the end the points are won on Sunday and today we weren't good enough."
