F1 | Williams out of the Top Ten on Thursday in Monte Carlo

On Thursday in Monte Carlo, which opened the weekend of the Monaco Grand Prix, the sixth round of the 2017 Formula One World Championship, Williams failed to reach the Top Ten. The fastest of the Grove team's drivers was Felipe Massa , who set the 13th fastest time in the second free practice sessions.

Lance Stroll (16th) was involved in an accident at the curve in the afternoon Massenet which did not allow him to continue work on the track, forcing the race direction to temporarily interrupt the session.

"Today was the classic first learning day that takes place in Munich – said Massa – We understood the behavior of the tires, getting used to the track with the new single-seaters. We are not in a great position, but we have done better than in previous years at these tracks. It will be a tough challenge with our competitors. We will do everything we can to improve ahead of qualifying on Saturday".

"I am satisfied with the car, even though there was an accident – Stroll's thoughts – I was looking for the limit but then I lost the rear. It was the classic mistake you make on a street circuit. Apart from the accident, I am satisfied with the day. I will analyze the points where I need to improve, penso at turn eight and the last corner as happens when I play PlayStation".
