F1 | Williams, the "Senna Foundation" logo is missing on the nose of the FW44

Williams will not display the "Senna Foundation" logo on the nose of the new FW44, the car with which Alexander Albon and Nicholas Latifi will face the next 2022 Formula 1 world championship. As stated by Jost Capito during the presentation ceremony of the car, the memory of Ayrton Senna will be honored with a special room inside the Williams museum and not with the logo on the nose. The motif? Don't remind the drivers, every time they get into the car, of what happened way back in 1994 in Imola.

“We want to move forward and project ourselves into the future”, said Jost Capito, CEO and Team Principal of the British team. “We have a new car for the new era of Formula 1 which will launch shortly in Bahrain and we have also renovated our museum, where there is a special area dedicated to Ayrton. We must look forward and no longer show drivers the "S" for Senna to remind them of what happened every time they get into the car. Now it's time for the team to move on and be grateful to Ayrton. We want to honor his memory in the dedicated space in the museum. We have not consulted with his family, but we are working with the foundation and will increase efforts to implement our support”
