F1 | Williams, Albon positive: "The data on the track corresponds to the simulator"
The Thai and teammate Sargeant remain confident for qualifying
The ranking definitely does not speak in favor of the two Williams drivers, Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant, but the sensations inside the pits remain positive. Alex Albon completes FP2 with the seventeenth best time, but the Thai did not try the fastest lap on the soft tyre. There is still hope for the qualifying, which could still take place in the pouring rain.
“The missed session didn't hurt us much. We worked a lot on the simulator, and our data corresponds to reality, so there were no surprises with the car – confirmed Albon – we were unable to complete FP2, we did not set a fast lap with the appropriate tyres, but we are not in bad shape."

Nineteenth, however, was Logan Sargeant, who took advantage of the variable weather conditions to test the car as best as possible and prepare for qualifying.
“The first day in Montreal was disrupted right from the start, and we tried to lap as much as possible in FP2. The car ran well most of the time. There's still a lot I can give, as far as I'm concerned. I think we're in good shape for qualifying, even if it will still be wet, let's wait and see what happens."
