F1 | Uphill weekend for Alfa Romeo Sauber

Friday more complicated than expected for Alfa Romeo Sauber in Abu Dhabi: Leclerc and Ericsson were unable to go beyond fifteenth and seventeenth position, and even Giovinazzi did not do better than sixteenth in FP1. There will be work to do for the Hinwil team, which usually manages to make that necessary leap in quality between Friday and Saturday to allow its riders to compete for the top ten, even if this time it seems more complicated than usual.

“Today's sessions were quite difficult – Ericsson admitted. I'm not satisfied with the feeling with the car: we have some work to do to understand what we're missing to express our full potential seen over the past weekends. We will work hard tonight and come back stronger tomorrow."

“We have work ahead of us to understand why we are failing to be competitive in all sectors – Leclerc said. We have an idea on how to maximize our potential for this weekend, so we will work on this with the aim of being ready for qualifying tomorrow."

“I'm happy to have concluded my last free practice session in a positive way – Giovinazzi said. We have completed the planned program and I have provided my feedback to the team to make progress in the next sessions. It was a great opportunity to get to know the team better, let's continue like this."
