F1 | Webber: “There should be no penalties for drivers when the error lies with the team”

Mark Webber thinks they should be eliminate grid penalties, especially those that affect the pilots victims di mechanical problems o errors of the team. Webber was very important in this sense critical with the rules in place and believes a change is necessary to improve competitiveness.

“There's too much control, too many rules,” Webber said. “I don't want any penalty for a driver who has nothing to do with what is happening to him. If a mechanical he put a brake disc the wrong way then a driver comes to the back of the grid. Many people don't look at the qualifications and when they come on from TV they see and wonder 'why is my favorite driver is in the rear of the grid?', because he doesn't understand, and so we lose a lot of viewers this way,” he continued Webber.

The former pilot of formula 1 was pretty harsh: “Better take away builders' points, whatever. Find a way to punish without hitting the driver himself. There have been so many ridiculous sanctions in the last five years, in situations where the driver had nothing to do with,” he concluded.
