There are still two months to go until the first Grand Prix of the season, but fans of formula 1 they will not be bored in the next three weekends since, like last year under the project #WeRaceOn, three are coming VirtualGP which will feature the Ferrari Driver Academy Esports Team who, in addition to professional sim drivers, will be able to count on some of the company's drivers Maranello. This weekend, in Austria, they will be competing Arthur Leclerc e Marcus Armstrong, both members of FDA.

Mini championship. I VirtualGP in 2021 there will be three, and they will give life to a mini championship. We begin, as mentioned, this weekend on the circuit Spielberg, while on February 7th we will compete in Silverstone, theater of British Grand Prix, and then on the 14th Interlagosin Brazil. There is a $100.000 prize pool up for grabs which will be donated to ten different charities based on the team's ranking. Ferrari will donate its prize to Save the Children.

Bind. Like last year, sim drivers will also be involved in the races and will have a fundamental role in the new format of the event. The owners ofFDA Esports Team, David Tonizza and the newcomer, the two-time world champion Brendon Leigh, will in fact be protagonists of a 5-lap Sprint Race, with qualification based on a single attack on pole position, the outcome of which will define the starting grid of the Feature Race. This race will instead take place over 50% of the distance of the real race – in Austria, therefore, 36 laps – and will see professional drivers and celebrities from the world of sport and entertainment in action. Arthur Leclerc he already has two under his belt VirtualGP courses in 2020, when he was fourth in Vietnam and fifth a Monaco. For Marcus Armstrong, who made his debut behind the wheel of a Formula 1 car last Monday, will instead be making his debut in this type of event.

Program. The appointment is therefore for Sunday afternoon with the first of the three races whose broadcast - live on the channel Facebook di FDA, as well as on those Formula 1 Facebook, YouTube and Twitch – will start at 19pm CET and last approximately 90 minutes. The Sprint Race is scheduled for 19.10pm, while the Feature Race will start at 19.30pm.
