F1 | Villeneuve: “Vettel knows how to push Newey's cars to the limit”

Interviewed by Sky Italia, Adrian Newey spoke about the possible negotiation between Red Bull and Sebastian Vettel for 2021, underlining how the German would be the perfect partner for Max Verstappen, given that both have demonstrated good familiarity with the cars designed by Adrian Newey.

According to the Canadian, the line-up formed by Vettel and Verstappen it would guarantee the four-time world champion team a line-up capable of taking the performance of the technical package to the limit, an aspect that would obviously help the team in its challenge to Mercedes.

“Adrian Newey always produces cutting-edge cars,” said Jacques Villeneuve. “And the difference between Alex Albon and Max Verstappen can be seen quite clearly. Vettel has shown in the past that he knows how to manage Newey's cars and this, on paper, makes him the perfect teammate for the Dutchman. Red Bull can and must think about it for 2021. A pair like this would guarantee the Austrian team two drivers capable of taking the car to the limit."
