F1 | Vettel on the Ferrari crisis: "There are no shortcuts, we deserve to be in this position"

Sebastian Vettel would have liked to experience his last Monza as a Ferrari driver in a different way, but instead the German was forced to retire due to a braking system problem that occurred on his SF1000.

Analyzing what happened on Sunday in the Italian Grand Prix, where the red car also had to retire with Charles Leclerc marking a double and depressing retirement in the home race which hadn't happened since 1995, the four-time champion expressed all his bitterness for the results obtained so far this season with Cavallino.

"There are no shortcuts in life and we are in this position because we probably deserve to be. The team suffers and I suffer too – underlined Vettel, quoted by Autosport – Everything happens for a reason and we are slow for a reason. It's hard".

But how, and above all when, will Ferrari be able to change gear? A question to which Seb tried to give his point of view: “We are in this position and we must try to do our best to end the season in a worthy way. We still have many races ahead of us and still many things to learn and understand, so there is a lot of work. We need to focus on this. If I had the choice I wouldn't want to be here. I wouldn't want to be at the back of the group. We have to keep our heads high even if it's difficult".
