F1 | Vettel on his time at Ferrari: “It was a roller coaster ride”

Last December 13th, with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Sebastian Vettel's experience with Ferrari came to an end. The German, who from the new season will begin a new professional challenge that will see him busy across the Channel with Aston Martin, left the Cavallino with 14 victories (third of all time in red behind Michael Schumacher and Niki Lauda) but without that long-chased world title.

The four-time champion recalled his time with Ferrari, which lasted six seasons (2015-20), analyzing what happened and what affected the results achieved.

"I think it's pretty much been a roller coaster ride over the years with a lot of things happening – declared Vettel, quoted by GPFans – I think in the '18 season, obviously, we had the passing of Marchionne, the change of leadership from Maurizio (Arrivafine) to Mattia (Binotto). So maybe the '18 season was a make-or-break year for a lot of things".

Continuing to talk about 2018 he added: “Everything that happened, happened for a reason and I think the main thing on my part is to make sure I learned from that. I think I've grown, from moments on the track like Hockenheim to others off the track. Overall I feel much more comfortable or, let's say, in a better place now than I did those years ago, but it certainly wasn't always easy".
