Now the Englishman from Mercedes has only Michael Schumacher ahead of him at seven. He expressed his point of view on the comparison between contemporary and past pilots Sebastian Vettel.
To a specific question, the Ferrari German replied: “Yes, I think a comparison is possible but every time it is different. I think it's easier to compare our generation to Michael's (Schumacher, ed.), but a comparison with more remote times is more difficult".
Continuing with his discussion, Vettel added: “It is impossible to predict whether Lewis and I will be competitive enough to challenge Schumacher's record in the coming years. His numbers are quite far off".
