F1 | Vettel: “The current single-seaters are the fastest, but they weigh too much”

Making a comparison between the various single-seaters he has driven in his career, Sebastian Vettel he has no doubts about the fastest: the current ones.

The German from Ferrari, recognizing this important factor in the latest generation cars, also admitted that they should weigh less.

"The high speed is the best seen in the category but they are too heavy”, underlined the four-time world champion.

Then speaking about the entertainment aspect, Vettel believes that in current Formula One there is too much management compared to the past: “It's a qsomething I don't like. I think Formula One cars of the past were very exciting because in the race you could push every lap, both from a car and tire point of view. From this point of view something has changed and we control the races more and more. You just like races where you don't have to manage".

"Some will say that you need to use your head and not just your feet and hands, but I think the boy who goes fastest should be rewarded”, concluded the Red standard bearer.
