F1 | Vettel: “The car handled incredibly”

Pole position number 217 for the Ferrari, that with Sebastian Vettel wins the start at the pole of Canadian GP. The German four-time world champion, after a not particularly brilliant start to the weekend, managed to get the best out of a car that had been fine-tuned in the right way in view of Saturday's qualifying, which allowed him to set the record time of 1:10.764. Smiling and satisfied, the driver of Maranello he spoke like this after conquering the front row.

“Yesterday we were in a bit of trouble, I wasn't happy with the car and we had some problems. I couldn't find the rhythm, usually I like this track... It was really difficult, but today I turned on the switch and I woke up I think in the right way. What a day! The car performed incredibly, it kept getting faster in qualifying; on the last lap I made a small mistake otherwise I think I could have done something more, it was fantastic. I thank the team for fixing the car yesterday after I had grazed the wall. I am also very happy for this fantastic audience and the many Ferrari fans present here!”.
