In a chat given to Mara Sangiorgio at the end of the opening press conference of the next Turkish Grand Prix, the 14th round of this 2020 Formula 1 world championship, Sebastian Vettel recalled his debut in Formula 1 which took place right atIstanbul Park, underlining how the memory of that experience is still very present in one's mind.

The German, we remember, took to the track for the first time with a Formula 1 on the Turkish circuit, precisely in 2006, now 14 seasons ago. On that occasion, the German took the place of Jacques Villeneuve, then a BMW Sauber driver, and immediately set the best time in FP1. An amazing debut that surprised many professionals.

See you tomorrow morning, 9.00 am on Sky Sport F1 HD, for the live coverage of the first free practice session from the Istanbul Park circuit. Turkey, we remember, returns to the calendar after an absence lasting nine years (the last time in 2011).
