F1 | Vettel against races without spectators: "More logical to wait"

Sebastian Vettel he argued against holding competitions without the presence of the public. In an interview with Auto Motor Und Sport, the German analyzed the restart options put on the table by the FIA and Liberty Medium, underlining how the formula 1, rather than rushing things, should follow the path of patience, thus avoiding the development of "ghost races" which he defines as "insipid and strange".

“I might be critical and say we've had a couple of these before,” said the German. “I'm not a fan of this scenario. I think "ghost" races are insipid and strange. Not only for us, but also for all the people who watch the race on TV. It will have the same attention as a normal Grand Prix, but for me it won't be the same."

“They must be evaluated because they would allow us to accelerate the return to the track, obviously, but I believe that the best medicine is patience”, added the four-time World Champion of Ferrari. “In my opinion we should wait rather than have races without spectators.”
