F1 | Vettel: “I apologize to Lewis”

This afternoon the official announcement arrived: the German driver was not given any other penalty for what happened to Baku. In the afternoon, Seb, via his official website, gave his version of events, apologizing Hamilton. We offer you the full letter:

“Dear sports fans, regarding the events in Baku, I would like to give my version. On the restart lap, I was caught by Lewis' maneuver and there was contact. In hindsight, I don't think he had bad intentions. But at the time, I overreacted and for this I want to apologize directly to Lewis and to all the people who were watching the race. I realized I hadn't set a good example. I had no intention of putting Lewis in danger but I realized I had created a dangerous situation.".

Finally, Sebastian wanted to reiterate his love and profound respect for sport:

“I also want to apologize to the FIA, I accept and respect the decisions that were taken today in Paris, as well as the penalty imposed by the stewards in Baku. I love this sport and I am determined to represent it so that it can be an example for future generations, Sebastian”.
