F1 | Verstappen on Hulkenberg: “He would be a good teammate, but he doesn't depend on me”
"Nico is great and what he did at the Nürburgring was fantastic," said the German
During the opening press conference of the next Portuguese Grand Prix, the 11th round of this 2020 Formula 1 world championship, Max Verstappen spoke about the possible arrival of Nico Hulkenberg in Red Bull, underlining how the German, absolute protagonist in the last weekend at the Nurburgring, would be an excellent teammate.
The Eifel performance in fact confirmed the speed and talent of the German driver, aspects that would obviously be useful to the Austrian team in the world challenge with Mercedes in 2021. Hulkenberg, remember, is fighting with Perez for the seat currently held by Albon, with the latter possibly being “demoted” to AlphaTauri.
“Obviously I can't say anything, but Nico is great and what he did at the Nürburgring was fantastic,” said the Dutchman from Red Bull. “I think he would be a good teammate, but I want to point out it's not my decision. It doesn't depend on me."
