F1 | Verstappen: “Only 60% of drivers can win the title with Mercedes”

This is the opinion of the Dutch driver on whom many are ready to bet that he will give Lewis Hamilton a hard time for the 2020 title.

Several times Max Verstappen, while admitting that the six-time world champion is the better driver, has stated that a lot depends on the car:

“60 percent of the drivers in Formula 1 could win the championship in a Mercedes. But not all 20 drivers could do it", the 22-year-old declared to Ziggo Sport, including Lando Norris in this percentage.

And the remaining 40%? Verstappen had no problem answering and when the interviewer gave him a list of names of those who couldn't win with Mercedes (Giovinazzi, Stroll, Kubica, Kvyat, Gasly and Grosjean), the Dutchman interrupted him saying: “Yes, you said it right”.

Regarding his teammate Alex Albon however, Max limited himself to saying with a laugh:

“I won't answer that question.”
