F1 | Verstappen, retirement in Hungary: “Next year will be different”

Immediately after the Hungarian Grand Prix, Max Verstappen spoke on Ziggo Sport TV. The Dutchman confirmed to Jack Plooij that he may have to serve a grid penalty for the next GP at Spa-Francorchamps: “Yes, that's fine,” Verstappen said. Verstappen may have to replace the component that broke in Hungary and this could lead to a penalty.

But the Dutchman highlighted Renault's poor performance and reliability during the race in Hungary, and that the rest of this season won't be too good, considering the possible penalties for the future. “This is not very good for the rest of the year, but luckily it will be different next year,” said Max, alluding to the new collaboration with Honda.
