F1 | Verstappen: “We need to improve our starts”

Max Verstappen admitted that his starting procedure has not changed in four seasons but this year it seems to be suffering particularly. The Dutchman has always praised the progress made by Honda but claims that there is work to be done to improve this aspect.

“Starting last year, we were the second best team just as we were the year before. So I don't think that suddenly we are no longer capable of making a good start."

Verstappen therefore expects Honda to make steps forward:

“They can see what needs to be improved but it takes time because it has to do with the characteristics of the engine.”

The Dutchman then added that a grid penalty is foreseen for Monza, in the event that Red Bull decides to use specification 4.
