F1 | Verstappen asks for more power from Honda

The Red Bull driver wants the Japanese manufacturer to continue bringing more powerful engines to Grands Prix. In fact, Honda brought a new update to Paul Ricard but Max Verstappen recognized the steps forward made by McLaren.

“Even the McLaren was fast on the straights. I'm satisfied with the balance of the car, but we need to continue working on it to remain competitive and we need a more powerful engine."

Verstappen, before the race in France, had declared that the Renault-powered cars had gained in power, especially in qualifying, thanks to the "party mode".

The Dutchman added that Red Bull will also follow their example:

“There will definitely be something in the next races. We can see that Renault achieves a noticeable increase in power with a special engine operating mode.”

F1 is heading to Red Bull's home race in Austria, where thousands of Dutch fans are expected to support Verstappen:

“It won't give me an increase in engine power. I'm always happy to see the fans but I don't expect miracles."
