F1 | Verstappen: “We did our best”

“As I had already said, we lost more than a second on the straight, so having arrived within 7 or 8 tenths of the pole lap... we can be satisfied, because the car performed well in qualifying. We couldn't have done better,” Max Verstappen immediately declared after qualifying on the Silverstone GP circuit.

“I hope Red Bull is faster tomorrow, and normally we should be. But when you lose so much on the straight you have to push harder on the tyres, and in this heat it's difficult. When I wake up I'll see if I have some tricks in the car... and I'll try to use them", commented Verstappen ironically, trying to find a smile again after a very difficult Saturday for the Red Bulls with performances not up to what they showed in the previous ones GP.
